Not to be confused with Telegent, Telegen was a small Telecomms startup which chose to exploit the deregualtion of the telco industry. Their primary product was an Automatic Carrier Selection Device which enabled a caller to route a long distance call across the network of the carrier charging the least.

Job Description
Reporting into the Engineering department. My role in Telegen was unclear. To this day I am not certain what it was but I know exactly what it wasn't. Besides the good people working there, the less said the better - the place went out of business pretty quickly.
Job Responsibilities
- Analysis and development of an Automatic Carrier Selection device.
- Product Test supervision at Alpha and Beta stages.
- Characterization of possible failure modes by board level analysis.
- Schematic validation of CAD plots.
